One blood test. Detects 55 individual cancers with up to 98.55% sensitivity.†
Around 7 in 10 cancer deaths come from cancers with no recommended screening test.*
OncoVeryx finds cancer earlier, before symptoms appear, when treatment is more effective.
Finding cancer early is not just about testing. It is about changing outcomes, protecting families, and saving lives.
* General cancer statistics; the figure varies by source and region and is pending final citation for South Africa. † Detection sensitivity as reported in the developer’s (PredOmix) clinical validation study; no screening test is 100% accurate and false positive and false negative results can occur. Performance claims are pending South African regulatory and legal sign-off.
This is a screening test, not a cancer diagnosis. Any concerning result must be followed up with a healthcare professional.

A new layer of cancer screening.
Many cancers are only looked into once symptoms appear. OncoVeryx reads the patterns in your blood that are linked to cancer, so your doctor can investigate sooner. It works alongside your routine screening, not instead of it.
Finding cancer early changes everything.
When cancer is found early, before it spreads, treatment is far more effective. The numbers below show the difference that timing makes.

Earlier-stage cancers are more treatable, with a wider range of options available and higher success rates.
Many cancers are only investigated once symptoms appear. Screening prompts earlier conversations.

Colorectal cancer
Melanoma (skin)
Lung cancer

About these figures: the survival percentages above are general population statistics for 5-year relative survival by stage at diagnosis (source: SEER, US National Cancer Institute). They illustrate how outcomes for many cancers differ when disease is found early versus after it has spread. They are not results from OncoVeryx and do not represent an outcome guaranteed or demonstrated by this test. Survival depends on cancer type, individual factors and treatment. OncoVeryx is a screening tool that does not diagnose cancer. A positive result requires clinical evaluation, and a negative result does not rule out cancer.
How the process works.
A clear, doctor-guided pathway from first enquiry to actionable results.
Request the test
Submit an enquiry as a patient, doctor, employer or partner to start the conversation.
Confirm suitability
A healthcare professional confirms whether you are eligible for the test.
Complete a blood draw
A simple blood sample is collected through an approved healthcare provider or partner.
Receive doctor-guided results
Results are returned through the appropriate medical pathway with clear next steps.

What your blood chemistry reveals.
Your blood carries thousands of tiny molecules called metabolites. Certain patterns in these metabolites are linked to cancer. OncoVeryx measures these patterns with advanced lab profiling and a proprietary algorithm, then gives your doctor a clear signal to act on.
Broad cancer coverage. A different kind of science.
Most blood tests hunt for fragments of tumour DNA. OncoVeryx reads your body's chemistry instead, which reveals signals earlier.

The cancers OncoVeryx screens for
One test screens for signals across 30 cancer types and classes, spanning 55 individual cancers, including several that have no routine screening test today.

Based on the 30 cancer types and classes in the developer’s clinical validation study. This does not mean the test detects all cancers, and a negative result does not rule out cancer.
Our approach
Metabolomics
OncoVeryx measures the small molecules your body produces, called metabolites. Cancer shifts these patterns early, even before a tumour grows large enough to shed DNA into the blood.
The usual approach
Genomics (cell-free DNA)
Most multi-cancer blood tests rely on fragments of tumour DNA. Early tumours often shed very little DNA, so these tests can miss cancers at the earliest stages.
Detects cancer across all stages, I through IV
OncoVeryx holds a high sensitivity even at the earliest stages and in people with no symptoms, where many conventional and DNA-based tests struggle. It is not evaluated for pre-cancerous (Stage 0) lesions.
Reported cancer-detection sensitivity
Sensitivity is how often a test correctly flags people who do have cancer. Higher is better.
Reported in the manufacturer's clinical validation study.
Roughly half of cancers across all stages, from separately published studies.
How to read this: these two figures come from separate studies, not a direct head-to-head trial. Different studies use different patients and methods, so the exact numbers are not perfectly comparable. The OncoVeryx figure is reported in the manufacturer’s clinical validation study. All performance and comparison claims are pending South African legal and regulatory sign-off. Screening for 55 cancers does not mean the test detects all cancers. OncoVeryx is a screening test that does not diagnose cancer: a positive result requires clinical evaluation, and a negative result does not rule out cancer.
Screening that starts with a simple blood draw.
Some cancers are only found later, usually through invasive procedures. A blood-based screen offers an earlier, gentler and quicker way to screen for a cancer signal, so invasive tests are only done when necessary.
The current picture
Often found later
- Many cancers have no routine screening test today.
- They are often found later, once symptoms appear.
- Investigating them can involve invasive procedures.
- The later a cancer is found, the lower the chance of remission.
Screening with OncoVeryx
One simple blood test
- Screening starts with one simple blood draw.
- An easy, minimally invasive first step.
- Focuses further tests on the people most likely to need them.
The later it is found, the lower the odds
Survival rates drop sharply as a cancer advances. That is why early detection matters so much.
5-year survival by stage at diagnosis, shown for colorectal (bowel) cancer as an example (source: Cancer Research UK). These are general population statistics, not OncoVeryx results. Survival varies by cancer type, individual factors and treatment.
Minutes to collect
The blood draw itself takes just a few minutes.
Fits a normal visit
No booking, prep or recovery time of a separate procedure.
Results in about 10 working days
Typically returned within around 10 working days of the lab receiving your sample. Timing can vary.
What this does and doesn’t mean: only the screening step is a simple blood draw. OncoVeryx does not replace diagnosis. If a signal is found, further evaluation is still needed, and this may include imaging, laboratory tests or a biopsy. It also does not replace mammograms, Pap smears, colonoscopy, PSA testing or any other screening your doctor recommends. Please continue those as advised.

Screening is not diagnosis
OncoVeryx does not confirm cancer and does not rule out all cancers. False positive and false negative results can occur. Continue with routine cancer screening recommended by your healthcare provider.
